bioTheranostics Announces Appointment of Mary Barry to
Vice President of Laboratory Operations
Carlsbad, CA, July 26 – bioTheranosticsa molecular cancer profiling company enabling personalized
medicine in oncology, announced today that Mary Barry,
MT (ASCP), has joined the company as Vice President of
Clinical Laboratory Operations.
"We are pleased that Mary has joined
bioTheranostics. She will lead the team setting up our diagnostic
laboratory operations, which we expect to receive CLIA
certification early in 2007 " said Antonius Schuh,
Ph.D., Chief Executive Officer of bioTheranostics.
Ms. Barry joins bioTheranostics with over 25
years of experience in clinical laboratory operations.
Prior to joining us, Ms. Barry most recently served as
the Vice President of Laboratory Operations for Prometheus
Laboratories, Inc., where she oversaw the laboratory from
inception through growth to over $50 Million in annual
sales. Prior to Prometheus, Ms. Barry held senior positions
with a high volume plasma screening laboratory operated
by Bayer Pharmaceuticals, with the Immunogenetics Department
of the UCSD Medical Center, and with the Molecular Biology
and Immunochemistry Department reference laboratory of
The Scripps Research Institute. Ms. Barry has a BS in Zoology
from Oregon State University and an MBA from San Diego
State University.
